Nationals was an experience, to be sure! The Twins should have updates to their blogs soon so check it out there. I'll post a few pics soon.
I don't know if it's even possible to thank Evan and Troy enough for all of their help and support at the races. They were there with the Cannondale truck and they set up an ran the best pit area at Nationals for The Twins and Sloane. They also helped support a few other Cannondale riders who stopped by. THANKS GUYS!!!!! You do an awesome job!
Ran into Vinnie and Deerslayer over there in Wisconsin. Good to see both of you guys! Vinnie still owes me a beer.
Red Bud Road was like a "trip" back to my Army days in the early 70's. Unreal! Really loud tunes blasting, a disco ball in a tree, a DJ sitting behind a table looking, well, looking a bit stoned, unreal bigger than life traffic signal hanging from a tree with it's lights flashing....... I was waiting for Jimi to step out of the woods and crank up his guitar. I'd been up for about 20 hours with 3 hours of sleep in the previous 24 which added to the surreal atmosphere. I'm sure there may be a couple of you who can relate.... Picture the scene in "Apocolypse Now" where Martin Sheen and the guys pull their boat into the harbor late one night to get fuel....
That's it for now.
Peace out, yo!
