It's all good....

Eric, younger brother of Jackal....
Adam and Owen, Jackal, Moo and Baby Rhea....
Baby Rhea and her new Twin-Six onesie....
Visions of sugar plums danced in her head....
Adam and baby Owen....
Sleeping in her new hat....
Smiling....
Moo and Baby Rhea....
Judy and Baby Jake....
Christmas at the Buchanan house was most excellent! We had 8 adults and six young 'ens running around at one time. Judy and Amy made breakfast for the family while Jackal and I finished wrapping presents. I think that everyone left happy....
Judy and I, Jackal and Moo, Adam and Krystal, Guitar Ted, A.Lo, and B. Bottke met later in the evening at Toad's for some good conversation and a little imbibing. That, also, was excellent. I haven't talked to Adam today but I suspect he had a headache this morning. Light weight.
I rode 20 miles through the parks after dark tonight. It's somewhat chilly but at 28 F, not at all uncomfortable. I love it when the Doubleshot lights up all the critter's eyes at night. You'd never believe that there are so many of them running around out there in the woods!
That's it for now.
Ride safe!
Peace out yo!

Hey Blue, good to see you had a good time for xmas. How has the weather been in Iowa? Chicago has been rather mild and I try to take advantage of it before we go into the deep freeze again. I read that Kerkove is calling for a New Years ride. Wish I could meet up with you guys. By the way if any of you ever come over to Chicago let me know. Did you get your Cannondale Cross yet??

our weather has been pretty mild here too. no snow and mid 30s to low 40s everyday. teens and 20s at night, which is when i've been doing most of my riding.

no, i haven't got the cross bike yet. according to c'dale the ship date is 20 january. i'm still not losing sleep over it and i suspect it will be here before then. i've been riding the surly everyday, so it's all good. i got it on the road on 19 september and my goal is to hit 1000 miles by the end of the year. only 71 miles to go! the new years day ride will probably be several hours of peanut butter this year judging by the way the weather's been. weird! i'll be driving to minnesota that day for work so i won't be out riding with the crazies. i'm thinking of a 25 miler on the surly at about 11 pm on new year's eve.... probably alone :( oh well.....
