I went out on the 1 x 1 to check the flooding this morning. The river is about a half mile north of us here and we are so far above it that I don't think we'll ever flood, but it's a different story just a couple blocks north. Lots of water and it's still rising. I don't think anyone expects anything like the floods of '08 this year, but it's flooded just the same.... Hopefully it won't get much worse.
Carl sent an email while I was drinking my coffee this morning saying that FedEx had called telling him he had a big box from Verge. Woohoo! The new VeloSyndikat team kits are here! That didn't take long! I rode with him and the Queen of Cross out to the FedEx facility on Airline Highway to pick them up. Sweet!
He brought me back to my house and opened the carton in the drive and pulled out my mid-weight jacket, since I was heading out for a ride on the Surly. Nice quality, nice fit, and good looking!
I rode down by the river then back up Grand before heading over to The Shop. Met Chris and Brent there and Scott walked in a couple of minutes later. Mike Johnson stopped in on his way out for his 5 hour training ride. It was good to get out and about today!
Time to run up to Jackal's for a minute. Have a great weekend!
Ride safe.
Peace out, yo!

That's a whole lot of Wet Weather!
Feels good to get and ride, I went out today, (cold) windy, windy, windy, but still nice.
Glad you're back!!! Have a great weekend, cheers!
Blue it was good to see ya today. Lookin' good in the new colors. The 5 hr ride today was tough, very windy. Opted out of the group that left Cup of Joes and headed for the gravel. Surprised the roads were in pretty good shape. Later.
The colors look great. All the Iowa rivers I saw today looked "mean", by the way.
Nice jacket Blue. Crazy how well they block the wind. I have never owned a wind blocker that worked before until this one.
We should be easy to spot out there.
Nice Jacket. Good to "hear" from you. Keep dry, man.
I'm involved in a cool new thing and we need some members to get the ball rolling/ make it look popular.

Funny, the name of that bridge in your photo, you'll see why.
It'd be great if you could get some friends to sign up (free) as members. Thanks and keep the rubber side down.
Thanks for signing up Blue. I knew I could count on you. I just made chapter two available as a free download to all who sign up as new members. Go ahead and comment/make suggestions in the forum section.
Keep on ridin', writin' and readin'.
Guess its that time of the year again; time to start blogging!
Glad your staying high and dry for now.
Nice kit. What does it take to join that brigade?
