GO FLYERS!!!!!!!!!
The Flyers dominated the Canadiens in the semi-final round of the Eastern Conference Playoffs, winning 4 games to 1. Now they will face the winner of the Pittsburgh-New York Rangers series. Sould be good hockey! The Flyers have been "my team" since they came into the league 40 odd years ago. I can definitely relate to all of you Cubs fans out there. It's been 33 years since the Flyers won Lord Stanley's Cup. Will this be the year? Could it be? We'll see. They are playing very well right now. Of course, they've played well in previous years, too. They've come close.... They've gotten me high and then broken my heart. We're a family of Flyers fans. Well, all of us but Jackal and Eric. Eric is a die hard Redwings fan. Jackal is all about the Stars.
Back up to the Ingawanis Boy Scout Camp this morning for MTB racing. Time trials yesterday. The weather is perfect this year. More later, along with pics.
Gotta go! Jackal will pick me up soon.

I feel for you. Yet another heartbreak is about to be visited on you at the hands of the Pittsburgh Penquins. Maybe Biron should try banging his stick against the pipes as a distraction, ala Ron Hextall (sp?). Other than that, I see no options for your team.
hextall was the man!!!!! i've been impressed with marty biron so far but i think you're right about the penguins.... they are good.

Our Sens started out like stink on fire and totally tanked! It was surprising to see the Canadiens play so well.
Umberger got lucky on the goal off of Richard's glove. Another 4 months and it starts all over again! LOL....

33 years? You can't relate to anything, dude. It's been 58 YEARS since the Cubs have even been in the World Series.
Of course ... I wasn't yet born when the Flyers won the Cup, so maybe I should keep quiet.

i played hockey for many, many, many years. (am i that old?) i played goalie for a lot of those years. sometimes the shooter gets lucky.... ya gotta love hockey, eh?

i owe you a beer. you win the prize! yes, the broad street bullies. i said that to my youngest (age 25) during the game saturday. he's pretty darned knowledgable of hockey but he looked at me like "WTF are you talking about?"....
I was likely not even a thought in 1975.
