Kinda cold....
Had to wait for a train in Cedar Falls....Nice 30+ miler on the Surly this morning. 28 F with an 8 mph breeze out of the west. I need to get the Blue Bike out one of these days. Today wouldn't have been good with the little bit of snow and ice from last night on the trails. I'm not sure I want to ride the county roads this time of year because drivers of cars pay even less attention to bicycles than they do in the summer. Oh well, they've got the heater going and the coffee cup full of warm liquid right along with the ever present cell phone and the CD player..... Not a great combination for cyclists.
Time for lunch.

add to that the application of makeup, the smoking of the cigarette, and the three rowdy toddlers in the back seat. whoaaaaaaaaa....... i'm beginning to scare myself!
Try over testosteroned back road North East Iowans in pickem-up trucks that are nigh onto drunk from the previous nights festivities, barreling down narrow gravel roads that are everything but straight and level at 60mph. They gave this Black Hawk county plated driver the stink eye, they did!
I hate to think of what it might be like when they see 100 plus cyclists in tights with blinky lights comin' at em! Heh heh!
100+ cyclists in tights will seem like an invading force from some far away place. i'd love to see the driver's faces! ;)
