Congrats to the Red Wings fans out there in the world. Both of you. The Wings won Lord Stanley's Cup in a 3-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins in Pittsburgh.
It's raining again here in Iowa. Gotta love it.
Next Friday will find Jackal and I traveling with our family to Way South Missouri for a family reunion in the Ozark Mountains at that tourist trap known as Branson. Road bikes on some of the double digit grades down there! I hope it doesn't make me look too foolish.

i'm pretty sure that the osmonds won't get any of my money. i'm also pretty sure that sadie's sideboard and smokehouse will. all you can eat rib buffet. oh yeah! it'll all be fun with the exception of 650 miles each way with nearly $4 per gallon gas. ouch!
It was a great series. As much as I don't like it, the Wings are just better now. Maybe not in a few years, but now they are.

No shame in losing to a better team. All the Pundits said the West is best and that looks to be true. That said, the Pens gave all they had (except Malkin) and it was a war. Too bad Fleury let those 2 leaky goals in. After his game 5 performance though, you can't really give him a hard time.
