What does he believe in then? Not sure you can answer that. Another one: Can God make a rock so big that he himself can't lift it? Ponder on that one for awhile! :^)
brian.... C.S. Lewis in his book "The Problem of Pain" holds that the nature of the paradox is internal to the statement. To quote: "This is no limit to His power. If you choose to say God can give a creature free will and at the same time withhold free will from it', you have not succeeded in saying anything about God: meaningless combinations of words do not suddenly acquire meaning simply because we prefix them to other words ‘God can’" (p. 18). In the end, "not because His power meets an obstacle, but because nonsense remains nonsense even when we talk it about God". (p.18)
jackal told me to never post about politics, sex, or religion. goes to show how well i listen, eh? i figured if anyone would respond, it would be you! good job, eh? :)
Wow. I am impressed. CS Lewis. Excellent. Maybe your not just a pretty face after all! :^) By the way, the comment about the rock is from an old George Carlin routine. Asking the nuns stupid questions was probably pretty typical I'll bet!
g-ted.... i feel better knowing you'll look out for him! he tends to stray and ramble and that worries me.
oldman.... i have an employee that received his entire education in catholic schools. i'll have to ask him about the nuns. he's a hoot, so i suspect the nuns probably had their hands full with him.

The limited should never think they can figure out the Limitless. Just accept that He is....
I'll see to it that Fatty behaves himself this weekend. :-)
